Golden Glory

After a pretty lazy start to the day Alan cracked on with staining the decking, and I went to David Lloyd. I actually went in the gym today, which is something I've been meaning to do but the swimming took over. Anyway I spent about 40 minutes in the gym and then swam 32 lengths (half a mile) followed by a relax in the jacuzzi.

The gym was hard work and made me realise how unfit I am! I've concentrated on the swimming over the last 12 months because it eases the lymphedema, but I now need to start building up my stamina.

This afternoon I drove to Piddinghoe to Blip these beautiful rapeseed fields that we passed yesterday. They're so beautiful and smell was amazing too!

Then, when I got back home we let Sherbie out of his cage for his first flight. It took him a little while to realise he could get out, but the landing perch did the trick! We were a little worried about how we would get him back in his cage, but he automatically homed in on it once he'd had enough. It was so nice to see him flying around and hopefully tomorrow he'll venture out again.

I've had a nice chat with Sherry in Dubai and now there's a programme on TV about The Burj Al Arab in Dubai which we're going to watch. I want to go back again!
