Surprises in Nature

on the Kennet and Avon Canal this morning :)

I was very surprised to see this duck nesting on the old tree stump today...and as I watched (and attempted a better picture) its mate came flying down.

So I walked first thing for about an hour, then went to Sainsburys and once again it was heaving, but I got all I needed...

Then home, where I really haven't done a lot today at all, just relaxed.  

Tomorrow will be busy as I'm making a desert in the morning to take to my friends for lunch after church and then we are going to a special evening service at another church (an evening of worship and creative expression) which I'm looking forward to :)
