The long walk

Up very very early for sunrise over Ottawa, hells teeth it was cold. As it was good Friday many shops were closed but I met an old colleague for breakfast and then a very interesting wander along the canal learning much about Canada as we went. Stopped off for a bullet coffee, just add coconut oil, hmm yeah me neither but it was actually very nice indeed.

More walking and some gifts acquired, called the father in law, bit of a traditional call from a deli in North America. Then off to visit the Canadian parliament building.

You live in a town with its own parliament and never visit it then travel to other countries....

Very nice building lots of interesting heritage. Walked more and had dinner at the best eatery of my trip which was again excellent.

Finished my walk after clocking up 16 miles apparently. Sore feet soaked then bed.
