Escaped
The tulips escaped the attention of the deer this year, thanks to Mr C's wire netting defences, which have been removed now the bulbs are past the tasty bud stage.
I decided on a flower blip today in honour of Marjorie, whose party was today. Her wishes were that her family would throw a party in her beloved garden, where her ashes were to be scattered around her roses. Mozart would be playing and there would be lots of wine. She finished by saying she was sorry she'd miss it.
Because her friends were many, the family held the party in a bigger venue. It was a lovely occasion - her son paid tribute, and we all chatted about how we knew her and shared memories of her. It was a privilege to have known her.
