The old Polish tradition on Saturday at Easter is to prepare a symbolic food basket and take it to church where priests say a prayer and bless the food with holly water. Then on Easter Sunday, when the family gathers together, the celebration starts with sharing the little food from the basket, hug and kiss each other and proceed to have a big Easter dinner and spend time together.
