Mason's Hooplas

Went for a long walk along the river Thames with S. It was a lovely day - lots of sun and I even got a little bit sunburnt on my neck. We went further than I've walked from home before. We looked enviously at some of the huge houses across the river in Caversham with boat houses and river-front terraces.

The turn-round point of our walk was a yard full of old fairground lorries and equipment. I quite liked the old Mason's Hoopla's sign which had faded almost completely and which contrasted with the much more modern printed hotdog sign. 

Good walk and a chance to have a chat about the world, the universe and everything.
