Rest in Peace

Its been a week of ups and downs. The ups were our tickets for the Giants and Jets games when we go to New York in November came, our tickets for the Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular and our visas and passports also came so now we have 72 sleeps to go till we fly over the pond.

The downs were that I had to attend two funerals this week, my mates mother-in-law who was 66 and a great lady who used to work beside Cheryl and her husband worked beside me for a while, she was 61. They were both larger than life characters with great personalities and they would have done anything for you. Its a shame they were taken so early.

So you could say its been a week of reflection.

Today I was down the glen in Roslin and as I stopped and looked at the old gravestones, you just stand there and think about friends and family who are no longer with us and all the happy times you had with them.

This is such a peaceful spot and it is also very beautiful so this had to be todays blip.
