Arles - guiding the toro down the race course

Today was the beginning of the feria- a four day bullfight festivity in Arles. We just arrived when the race course had been prepared and everything was ready for the presentation of the bulls. There were three of them and they were guided by horse riders one by one along that course a few times. Each time young people were running with them trying to touch the bull. I guess as a kind of initiation ritual. The last time the three bulls ran down the course by themselves. In the afternoon there were corridas in different styles taking place in the ancient Roman arena. However we didn't attend any of them
