Flower Friday - Orchid

Our kid is a good kid and
I glad she’s doing fine
She’s bounding all around the world
But calls us all the time
And on a grey and rainy day
It’s great to hear her voice
it causes gloomy clouds to break
and makes us to rejoice
Thanks gods for mobile telephones
And wireless internet
So we can share her happiness
She isn’t finished yet

Ok, so it is indeed a chill and gloomy day, and after such a week of blessed sunshine that's been hard. I was therefore left a bit uninspired for a blip until a) I saw this orchid on the half landing, and b) I took a call from Charlie in the sunny, hot south of France, where she's ploughing on with her Biology MSc. The orchid forced the dreadful NaPoWriMo doggerel, and I have to admit, being soft southerners, we don't generally refer to her as 'our kid"! :-)
