Good Friday Walk of Witness

Friday 14th April 2017 (1693)

After the morning service we walked up to the URC church for our United Walk of Witness. We walk through the village, stopping at our church on the way and finishing at the Catholic Church. I take my turn on the cross, which as you can see is rather big and therefore rather heavy. A gust of wind caught me out when I had it. 

After the walk my Verger had arranged fish and chips in the hall as we didn't have much time before the afternoon service. 

I love all the services of Holy Week. Now there is the time of silence and waiting before the sunrise service on Sunday, let's hope we get a good sunrise.  

Needless to say, I was asleep soon after getting home today!
