DB Plaza

Welcome to our beloved Discovery Bay Plaza. It is the centre of DB where all the transport comes into, ie the ferries and buses and minivans. It's also the main shopping precinct here and a wonderful place to hang out with family and friends. The picnic tables are usually full on the weekends and there are usually loads of kids on scooters and bikes in the big open space. Lots of dogs too. DB is a place for family and dogs.

There are no cars in DB as it was established to be a pollution free resort, so you either take a bus or walk or bike OR rent/buy a golf cart which costs about £2,600/month to rent or £261,600 to buy!!! Ridiculous, I know. It's the licence that costs so much. We're much healthier for living in Hong Kong!!! But we love our plaza. You can drink (alcohol) in public anywhere in HK, so the plaza is a great place to hang out.
