The Black Tulip

It felt more like Saturday than Friday today, even though for some of us everyday is a non-work day.

We went for coffee at the Swan Theatre Bar then walked down Chapel Lane to Guild Chapel where the medieval paintings are being restored, a slow and intensive job I would imagine. New Place (Shakespeare's home in Stratford) is just across the road so we popped in to see the gardens.

The tulips were looking lovely with a large selection of black tulips, which are not really black but a wine or deep purple colour.
