In Flanders Field

Today we visited five world war 1 cemeteries near Ypres, Belgium. I always knew that that war had more lives lost than any other, but today that was truly driven home. We saw English, American, and German cemeteries and learn how these regions were so decimated and farmers are still unearthing munitions by the tons every year.

We just arrived in Bruges and we're looking forward to seeing the sights.
