Italy's answer to "the Steamie "

This has been used for many years by the locals to hand wash their laundry. The water here is soft while tap water is full of calcium. Today they drive down to this outdoor wash house while in former times they carried their washing on their heads.
I'll stick to my machine and Scotland's soft water.
