Wet wren

I went for a walk at lunchtime. Everything is coming to life. I saw this wren having an extravagant, splashy bath in the water collected in the hollow of this fallen tree. I watched for a while and then tried to get closer to take a photo. This is one of the better ones - the rest are of a blurry wren and water drops. It was lovely just to stop and watch the little bird complete its ablutions without being interrupted.
