Restormal Castle

A lie in this morning - I was woken by the arrival of the window fitters! Lovely men, they fitted the last window and were gone 1ish. I took the opportunity of being blocked in by their van to nip and get a hair cut.

After dinner, we headed off on an adventure to Restormal Castle near Listwithiel. Splendid it is too but with time to fill until collecting Josh from Bodmin at 6, we continued in to Fowey. A pretty little town that reminds be a bit of Robin Hoods Bay that I visited a lot as a child and teenager.

MrRoly took the little 2 to the aquarium and had a lovely time while mum and I found ourselves a cream tea before hopping into the town bus back up to the car park.

Still with time to fill, we sat shivering on a bench while the children played in the playground at Lanhydrock until hypothermia started to set in! We arrived at the pick up point without problem, only to learn we were an hour early!

We decided to nip into Bodmin and grab some tea, unaware of the road closures in the town centre. We ended up at 'Spoons (John Wesley must be spinning in his grave) and would have made it back in time had we not got hopelessly tangled up in diversion routes and closed roads...
