Orange-tips
There are not many insects that are smarter than orange-tip butterflies when they suddenly show in the spring. I was in the garden building a shed most of the day and enjoyed visits from a few males and one female. The main photo is a male roosting towards the end of the day in a clump of comfrey. The extra photos show him slightly earlier when he was nectaring on honesty and the famale prefering a dandelion.
