Edinburgh view.
Today I was off, the boss having been well warned that I was most definitely unavailable, as I had made plans. Every time I get a holiday, I organise a wee trip out with mum's cousin who is in her eighties and lives not far from me. This morning, mum came down to my house and, after picking up Lydia, I drove them up to Dobbie's up near Edinburgh. I drove up the A7 as mum had never been up that road since the railway was built next to it, and back down by the A68, for a change of scenery.
I wanted to stop to take this view as it is one that has greeted me five morning out of the last eight, at roughly five past seven in the morning. This is the view of Edinburgh that I get when driving the 51 service in the morning. You can see many landmarks, from Arthur's seat in the centre, left to the Scott Monument, the Castle, and and you can just see the tops of the Queensferry Crossing too. I think this is one view from the drivers' seat that I'll never tire of.
