Julius Caesar

We came to Stratford on Avon
Paid homage to the bard
Saw Julius Caesar (the play)
The plot was jolly hard
Schemes were hatched
And blood was spilt
It all got very grim
Then Mark Anthony's speech
Had the Romans follow him
Cassius and Brutus
Got what they deserved(?)
Armies romped through Italy
Till honour was preserved.

For my birthday in January the children got me tickets for a tour of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford Upon Avon followed by a matinee performance of Julius Caesar. I can't think of a more perfect present. Thank you children ❤️
