Craigmillar Castle Park

Don't you just love it when you discover a fabulous new place to walk?

Today we had a plan. The plan was................... go to the tip don't even ask? and then go back to 'Dalkeith Country Park' and walk along some of the paths that we hadn't walked on the last time.


Best laid plans and all that........................... When we got to the tip we noticed quite a few cars parked on the road leading to the tip and people with dogs were heading to a path leading into the woods??? So we thought we would follow them and see where the path went.......................


Turns out the path went into 'Craigmillar Castle Park'. What a fabulous place. Ann thought Craigmillar Castle was just a derelict Castle. She didn't realise that it had a whole load of land around it where collie dogs could walk.


We actually ended up walking for 4 miles. Check out our walk here. We came out of Craigmillar Castle Park at one point and walked along some cycle trails at the back of the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and then we followed the burn all the way through Greendykes to the Jack Kane Centre.


What a fabulous walk. Edinburgh has so many interesting places for a gorgeous little collie to go.
