Rainbow's End
It was a surprise that it rained this morning - we've not seen rain for a good while. What wasn't surprising was that I was walking down to my bus as it started to rain. Been a good while since I sat in the office in soggy trousers.
The office was deserted, which does make getting on with things easier. And so I spent the day buried in code until my internal alarm rang and I could scarper.
4 days off and I intend to enjoy them a lot.
And as a bit of incidental history, did you know that the Rainbow was used as a symbol of the Cooperative movement in the German Peasants' War in the 16th century? Known as the Deutscher Bauernkrieg here. Another one these curious events that make me want to go away and read more history.
