Thinking more visually

Rainbows

I was wondering which photo to back-blip, then noticed the light from these new rainbow windows streaming across the wooden roof and HAD to use this picture.

An Edinburgh church designed by Sir Basil Spence with detached bell tower. It has a Scandinavian theme including an Arctic vine which is trained over the rough stone wall at the front of the sanctuary. The windows at the back of the church had been clear, but are now in rainbow colours to signify creation. Blue for the sky, green for the land, red for sunset and yellow for the dawn.

There is a story that Sir Basil asked the joiners to choose wood with lots of knotholes to construct the roof. It is then possible, in a tedious sermon to spend a long time counting the knots in the roof, not that the present incumbent would ever be boring....

And for John who ought to know this place, an extra clue in the back of the serving minister in the foreground.
