Part of the family - Cat talk
People - friends, colleagues, neighbours, students - continue to give their condolences - recognising that school has lost one of its most famous and enduring characters. Stories are told of her unscheduled appearances in examination halls, morning assemblies, plays and performances - even classrooms and offices - during her thirteen year feline reign. We are unlikely to see such as she was here again. Sweet Caroline. The extra shows her just two weeks ago. Both Elizabeth and Harry continue to be extraordinarily affectionate giving close kitty comfort.
Meanwhile at home, Harry also wonders what happened to his friend and playmate Ferda Filippe - a campus tom cat that visits daily for dinner, who finally, after months of trying, gave me the opportunity - or rather his hunger did - to get him into a cage and off to the vet yesterday for the usual health check, shots and "that" operation.
No creative inclination for photos, but campus is awash with the annual buttercups, daisies and dandelions display. Such colourful cheeriness is so lovely to see. Quick snap.
