Fungi and Friend

I paddled out across the saturated lawn this morning to give the tuis some more sugar water and noticed there were tiny fungi everywhere in the grass. I went back out with the camera and rattled off some shots. To my surprise when the images were loaded on to the computer, I saw there had also been a wee insect sitting there keeping its feet dry. A bonus.

Managed to get a little commenting done this afternoon when the family went to explore town. It was good to catch up with what folk were doing and to see their images.

Still waiting for Cyclone Cook to arrive and deliver what is being called the worst storm since 1968. That one sunk a ferry and killed around 50 poor souls. Cross fingers that all are safe this time.
