Holy Wedesday - Listen

About 7 years ago, my granddaughter said to me, "Granddaddy, there is music in your pocket."  It was my cell phone.  Regularly, my wife would raise her voice and say, "Dan, can't you hear me."  I would answer, "I can hear you, I just can't understand you."  Those are the times when Dr. Kimberly King, whose name is on the sign above, became an important person in my life.  High frequency hearing lost is the most common, and that was my diagnosis, so hearing aids have been a wonderful addition to my life. In the Revised Common Lectionary, one of the Bible passages appointed for Holy Wednesday includes Isaiah 50:4-6, with a focus on hearing.  I chose the photo that included the STOP sign thinking it enhanced the photo and offered several metaphor possibilities.
