We made it!

We did a self guided walking tour today taking in all the major sites of Dijon. The city has adopted the owl (chouette) as a symbol of the city and has placed numbered plaques all over the city. We bought a map at the tourist information office and started off on our quest to find all 22 owls. The kids walked for miles without complaint as they were so focussed on finding the owls which was brilliant! I really don't know why all cities don't do this! The tour took in the Église Notre-Dame where the original owl is carved on the side. Legend has it that if you rub the owl with your left hand and make a wish it will come true, so we all took turns to make a wish. I'm pretty sure that Dexter's was to have a dessert today!
We were really impressed with Dijon as it is a beautiful city and well worth a visit. We couldn't leave without buying some mustard!
