Quince

I dug up my quince shrub last year because it was fiendishly thorny and kept slashing my ankles when i walked down the path. Today my eye was caught by a flash of red which turns out to be a sprig of quince that must have escaped my efforts. Luckily it is a decent distance from the path so we will hopefully be able to co exist peacefully this time :-)
