Cachoeira do Sul city, cathedral and Château d'Eau
The Château d'Eau ("water castle") is the main symbol of Cachoeira do Sul, the national capital of rice, in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
The 1925 architectural project was elaborated by the engineer Walter Jobim and the structural calculation, by the engineer Antônio de Siqueira. The sculptures (Neptune and group of nymphs) were executed in the workshops of Vicente Friedrichs, in Porto Alegre, under the direction of professor Giuseppe Gaudenzi.
