Steps

It's not really surprising when the next step in a project is flakey. Everything else is affected. Whilst we weren't actually going to be in deep water, it did affect our management of the process.

Like the worktop arriving from the merchant's not being the right color. To be fair, they arranged quick delivery for the next day (Dave is a valued trade customer...).
