A country of contrasts
Today we walked the Tallarook Rail Trail about 120km south of Shepparton just off the highway to Melbourne. Novel for us because we had the ranges on one side of the trail and the Goulburn River dropping away on the other. Shepparton area is simply flat with several miles to the nearest hill, let alone mountain. My main pic shows you the ruggedness of this landscape of ours while the extra is taken from the opposite side of the trail Both scenes are within fifty metres of each other. I love these contrasts - each beautiful for different reasons. Obviously the beauty of this old dead tree took my attention. So sculptural against its backdrop. Well, I hope you like the contrasts.
