And the rains came ...
The wind started to blow during the night and then the rain started too. We woke to wet ground and dark skies. It continued through the day.
Daughter T came in for Winter School classes and the two of us had to take out the warm clothes again. Spring always has one last cold front up its sleeve amd today it was really freezing.
At around lunchtime the lightning and thunder picked up and I decided to try get home before there was a bad storm. I first tried to take a few lightning shots against the mountains but it got a bit scary. Half way home we hit the hail storm and the ground was white around us. Driving conditions were extreme. As soon as we had driven through the storm I decided to stop and take a few photos of the cars. The roads were like rivers.
This truck was just coming off a bridge and on the left you can see some of the hail. The house even suffered some flooding as the storm was quite intense. But luckily it wasn't carpets!
I am quite tired tonight after nearly a full week back at school. I have not been sleeping well either as Kiara's not doing well again. I will be up early with her tomorrow to take her to the vet before work.
Helen is doing well today and even decided to go home. Incredibly she was back on her iphone checking emails and being her charming self!
