Murderball

...is Annie's new favourite sport.

We've had a fabulous day at the Paralympics with an Olympic Park day pass. It was a beautiful sunny day and we're now both a bit lobster faced.

We first saw blind 5-a-side football which was a surreal and amazing experience. Staying silent while play progressed took a bit of getting used to. Next we went to wheelchair tennis then rounded the day off nicely with a spot of murderball (aka wheelchair rugby). It was an epic battle: Team GB vs. France. The game was incredibly tight with both teams going hell for leather, mainly at each other. Ouch! Team GB ultimately came out on top, much to the crowd's delight.

Perhaps the strangest thing that happened today was managing to bump into our next door neighbour twice in the park. It's a small world sometimes.
