Preserving lemons

A first for us with John leading the process using some lovely organic lemons bought in Tesco's this morning.

A quick visit to Oban taking the car over to do some shopping from a number of places. We rushed the process after a friend mentioned the afternoon ferries were on amber alert. Surprising what can be done in a few hours.

The lemons sit for at least three weeks soaking in salt and lemon juice. A tangine is in the offing later in May.

A wet cold breezy day, I don't know if the ferries operated later on and pleased to come home on the 12.20 journey.
