Horticap Bee

Friend Verity volunteers each Tuesday in the cafe at Horticap.  This is based at Bluecoat Nurseries near Harlow Carr and provides adults with learning disabilities training in horticulture, crafts and rural skills.  Today friend Helen and I drove out to the Nursery to have a cuppa with Verity and a look around the Nurseries.  Local blippers do put it on your list for a visit.  It's a great place for good quality, very reasonably priced plants and if you are there on a Tuesday, Verity makes a mean cafetiere of coffee!  There is also a small shop which sells, amongst other things,  crafts created by the students, including fine screen printed scarves.

These bees were buzzing around in the greenhouse!
