a rescue narcissus

As I came home last night from the local library book club, I found this flower wrenched from its plant and lying on the grass outside the block of flats. So I brought it upstairs but discovered it had a broken stem. I performed a stemectomy, and searched through my collection of possibly-useful-in-the-future glass pots to find a vinegar bottle for it. It seems to have settled in OK.
