Blink and you'd miss it

I was in the kitchen doing other things when I noticed the colour suddenly start to appear in the darkening sky. The pinky glow remained for just the briefest time (maybe three or four minutes) and then disappeared as quickly as it had appeared in the first place. The extra photo was taken a minute or two after the main one when only the faintest hint of pink remained low in the sky, like a fast receding memory.
