Triffid?

was 'home-alone' the other evening when I heard a loud noise in the kitchen. This amaryllis which had been in the window had grown so tall that it forced itself off the windowsill. Its now on the kitchen counter but still growing at such a rate that its nearly hitting the ceiling. Think its a triffid in disguise .
