What do you think of my new choker?

I think it looks a little ruff to be honest dear.

This interaction between two great-crested grebes was rather distant but cheerier than what was happening elsewhere on the loch.

A mute swan had become entangled in some discarded fishing line and then become firmly caught around an old tree stump in the water. It had been reported but a rescue had not yet begun by the time I left at 4:30pm. Thankfully, I received a message at 8pm to say that it had been freed, was unharmed and was now back with its mate at the nest site. Great to hear that this one had a happy outcome.
