If we have toad in the hole then it's my task to make it.
I thought I'd added too much pepper to the gravy but it was best ever.
Gravy - chop a small onion and put in a pan with a big dollop of butter. Cook onion till it's cooked. Add heaped teaspoon of flour and stir. Add a good glug of George Watkins mushroom ketchup. Keep stirring. Add a generous splash of white wine. Keep stirring. Add a drop of water till you're satisfied with consistency. Add 3/4 teaspoon of white pepper. Add a good splash of Worcestershire sauce. Add a good pinch of salt. Keep stirring Done.
