Pease Dean

This woodland is one by the Scottish Wildlife Trust and I revisited it this morning with my friends, Eric and John. It's a few weeks since we were there last and already with the first growth of buds and leaves it is beginning to look quite different. What has not changed is the difficulty of capturing the magic quality of light in this woodland. As you can see many of the trees are quite gnarled and misshapen but no matter how selective you are with your subject matter it is very easy for your images to seem too busy and cluttered. The path in this image hopefully helps to give it more shape and clarity.
