The incinerator finally disintegrated and when I picked up the bits this was what remained of the ‘thing’ I blipped last summer.

Thanks for your comments yesterday.  Compared with what other folk in other parts of the world are dealing with, it’s a small inconvenience.  Nobody got hurt.  But thanks all the same.
