view to Blencathra

One of my favourite short walks near Keswick. We started at Castlerigg by the stone circle and did a circular route taking in Tewet Tarn. A breezy morning with sunny intervals. It was warmer as we returned to the car and I failed to spot the ice cream van until I saw it in the door mirror as we were driving off. 

Cream cakes and bubbly this afternoon to celebrate another wedding anniversary. 

Had to put in two extras. Early in the walk we came to a gate and on the other side were three sheep that had no intention of moving. If we pulled the gate to open it there was a good chance they would force their way through, so decided to climb over it. We were then followed to the gate at the other end (with my husband being head butted a few times) which we also climbed.
