Rainbow dog and Pippin

Olivia asked me to take a photograph of her 'pet dogs' today. Rainbow dog was given to her little brother when he was a baby and Pippin is a fairly new addition to the family as Olivia bought him with some of her holiday money when we were in Folkestone (the friends we were staying with in Folkestone had a dog called Pippin whom my kids loved).
She is now obsessed with Pippin and treats him like a real dog preparing food for him on her toy cooker, making sure he is comfortable in the bed she has made for him, giving him toys to play with and even taking him for walks (as he came with a collar and lead) and so on. When we are out through the day she makes us rush home to check on Pippin as she is worried that he has been on his own all day and now I even have to give Pippin a kiss at bedtime.

Sometimes, she nearly has us fooled that he is a real dog!

A friend of ours, here, recently spent a bit of time with Olivia and is convinced that she is going to be a lawyer one day as she can be very persuasive with her points of view. Watch this space!
