Clay Pot Chicken

This is Ms H cooking our dinner tonight - I don't recall her going to these efforts before. She'd decided yesterday to cook and we took a diversion on our way home to get the ingredients. 

I think the recipe officially is known as Clay Pot Chicken with caramelised sauce which she had ordered last August in The Slanted Door in San Francisco. I remember a day of driving around outside the city crossing bridges, and not going out for food until about 8pm, a hungry Ms H was getting a bit grumpy as we passed a couple of restaurants and decided to keep walking in the hope of finding something else. Eventually we reached the water and it took some persuading her to go in to what appeared like our last option, but once in the waiter won her over... wow what skills, she ended up trying food and flavours we'd never get her to try, and this dish was her main course. Dessert was a massive candy floss! Anyway... this is all by the by, my mind is just reminiscing as I didn't do so in that original blip.

Aye, so Ms H took great care to line some CBBC programme up on iPlayer before starting then following the recipe on her phone. There was a lot of preparation and maybe next time she'll tidy up and she goes! But it was delicious and I've now nominated this is her dish to make for ever!
