Friends

A lovely Sunday. The weather has been glorious and we met up with Friends from Lodswood who are holidaying in Camber. We have known each other since B started fostering, which must be arounfpd 35 years ago. We have watched each other's children grow up, babysat for each other's foster children or had them on respite. We adopted at the same time and B looked after my youngest when I needed to get a part time job. We have had some great times, like when we organised the fostering day out to the coast and we have had very sad times. B was the first one there when I received a sudden telephone call that Dad had died whilst playing chess!

Their daughter has also been a close friend due to her eldes and my youngest being friends, and she came too today with her youngest, the very special Jack, who will always have a place in my heart. It has been almost a year since we saw them, and today was a wonderful catch up over lunch at Sotirios and then back to ours for coffee. We all agreed we wouldn't leave it so long next time.

After they had left we took Dog for a quick walk on the beach, when I took this shot of the coastguard helicopter with my phone.
