Bacup Bank

This Scottish Baronial style branch of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Bank stands in Bacup town centre. It opened in 1875 and closed in 1922 and was built when banks were meant to be imposing buildings.    Since then it has been many things, including a funeral parlour and an Indian restaurant before being converted to residential use although it currently appears unoccupied.
