A delightful stroll down Southend Pier this morning, check it out Margit, the sun does shine sometimes. The time, sun, space & fresh air was most welcome. At the seaward end of the pier is a cafe to gather yourself for the return walk of 1.33 miles. Those who can't manage the walk can take the electrified train. For those who know, Jamie Oliver films his "Jamie's Friday Night Feast" series at a now redundant cafe at the pier end. We used to frequent this place before it was famous, now it's firmly shut between filming. At the shore end there is a great art & culture exhibition in garden sheds, well worth a visit (see extra). It's amazing what you can do in a shed!
