Part of a series of three statues, honouring the life and work of the Salter family. Dr Salter was a renowned physician and politician and did much to improve the lot of the poor of Bermondsey in the first part of the 20th century. Mrs S shared his political views, was a social reformer and the first woman mayor in London.
