No daffodils here!

... though the country house next door had a daffodil open day - we didn't go in.  This is Skelton graveyard which we visited on the very first time we stayed at the cottage at Danby.  We'd become interested in the Memento Mori stones while on a visit to SW Scotland and we discovered that this graveyard has several stones decorated with the `little souls'.  I'll include one as an `extra', though the light today didn't show the detail  to its best advantage.

We started off in Saltburn, but were a bit late getting there as I'd had an early walk from the cottage, so we bought milk and breakfast stuff in the supermarket before heading to Skelton. (Saltburn was heaving, as you might expect, but I bet it wasn't half as bad as Whitby.)

Finally we were just in time for a late lunch in Castleton before heading back to the cottage.  Another beautiful day, though it's clouding over now and not quite as warm as it has been.  I hope the rest of the week doesn't let us down.
