Bethablip 25...

This is my monthly track of my children as they grow to see how they change as time goes by. I take the same photo in the same place each 1st and 15th of each month. Bethany on the 1st and Ewan on the 15th. It is quite remarkable and is accentuated by the 1 year ago thumbnail down in the bottom right.

Pardon the obvious pun, but that is Christmas as good as wrapped up. I think Bethany had a wonderful christmas. This was the first one where she really had an understanding of what was going on. We were woken up at 6am on christmas morning with her having her first pass at her stocking. She didn't realize that if she dug a bit deeper, there were more wee odds and sods to be found. She had a great time with her Grandpa Currie on Christmas day and has even since spoken to him on the phone. Speaking on the phone isn't of note because of any distance or anything, it's just the concept of speaking on a phone is a bit odd for a 2 year old. Have to keep reminding her that she needs to say 'yes' rather than nod.

Apparently Bethany always 'Needs...' things. 'I need milk!', 'I need grapes!' Trying to install the 'I would like... ...please.' statement structure is taking a bit longer than we thought.

We suspect the green eyed monster has been appearing with Ewan now being pretty much fully mobile. Everything Ewan works his way across to play with, Bethany then wants to play with and sharing ettiquette needs to be re-inforced several times daily. Mummy as a sharing thing as well is a bit of a contentious issue where Bethany really has to learn that Mummy TFP needs to be able to give equal time to both her children.

I unfortunately had to work today so this had to be taken after Bethany was in bed at her Granny Knowles house.
